The MoonSonic Project was started in June of 2003 by Simon Kenny and Danny Sheeran as a studio project. The duo spent the summer months putting down some ideas they had left over from the band they had both recently left, The Vice. Over the next year their sound changed and new elements were incorporated as they both grew separately as musicians. They enlisted the help of two others, Jakob Schazmann on the drums and Nuala Kenny (Simon's 16 year old sister) on vocals. What resulted was what has been described as "a bass-heavy, Air-esque production, that at times wavers into the cosmic, and others into the classical."(-Sinead McGovern, Galway Advertiser 20 Jan 2005). taken and edit from irishmusicdb.com/m/moonsonicproject/msp_factsht.htm

The MoonSonic was started in June of 2003 by Simon Kenny and Danny Sheeran as a studio project. We released our debut self-titled album in Janurary 2005 and pretty much left it at that. We are considering recording our long overdue follow up in 2012.
